The wall

Zach had the whole day off on Friday, so he was working hard all day long. There is a wall in the bedroom downstairs that had been extended into the garage. Because of this extension it keeps us from parking either of our cars in the garage by about 1 foot. So Zach's project was to bring the wall back to it's original setting and then tear down the wall from the garage. Here's the original room...

Here is the framing of the wall....And now with all of the sheetrock on...While Zach worked hard on framing and sheetrocking, I had the tedious task of stripping more wallpaper. Again, I say that this was a very bad mistake of whoever decided to put the lovely lighthouse border up. This task is not near as easy as the kitchen wallpaper, it's coming off in about 1 or 2 inches squares as this border was put up over a textured wall. The wallpaper glue bonded with the texture and is now coming off in little bitty pieces. So it's an ongoing project.

Today's project is putting the texture on the kitchen walls. Hopefully with the help of my sister I'll be able to knock that out. There's always something to do. ;-)

Wow! Things are definitely coming along. Ya'll are some hard working folks :-) The work is tedious, but the outcome will completely be worth it!! I love seeing the pictures, though.
